Skål International at TIS 2020, as Supporting Partner

Daniela Otero, CEO of Skål International, guest speaker at this international event on tourism innovation in Seville, Spain

Tourism Innovation Summit 2020 (TIS) started today with the official opening by Her Majesty The Queen and local authorities to support national tourism in an unprecedented event because of the major security measures, anticipating actions and protocols that the tourism industry could take for its global recovery.

Without a doubt, technological innovation goes hand-in-hand with the tourism industry and, of course, with travel security, as shown by TIS with its innovative biometric control through an app that all attendees have had to submit to.

"Our organisation, Skål International, is the largest at a global level with a presence in more than 100 countries, bringing together more than 14,000 business people and SMEs, which are being particularly affected during the pandemic. Therefore, our challenge is to provide them with the necessary support and reliable information to face the situation in the short and medium term in the midst of this uncertainty", said Daniela Otero.

The session 'Think Global, Act Local' was attended by Roberto Álvarez, Director at Biosphere Andalucía and Germán Inostroza, Director of Global Marketing and Sales at Hard Rock International.

Skål International, as TIS 2020 Supporting Partner, maintains its firm commitment to work together with the whole sector to achieve the recovery of the tourism industry.

"We will overcome this crisis, as we did many others before, even if 2020 will remain in history as a period of great challenges at all levels. In this context, it is also our responsibility to transmit hope and a positive attitude, no one has a miracle solution yet... but we must share good experiences and knowledge, and the TIS is providing an interesting space for reflection to do so", said Daniela Otero, CEO of Skål International.

TIS Seville is being held on 25, 26 and 27 November in Seville in a hybrid format, with more than 200 presential attendees and 4,500 online attendees, with an extensive agenda with top level speakers and sessions dedicated to the transformation of tourism through innovation, technology and sustainability.
